Effective Performance Management (Employees)

Overview

This workshop is designed specifically to look at an employee performance management and development (PMD) system from an employee’s perspective.  It considers the purpose, responsibilities and potential benefits for employees individually and the organisation as whole.  Lack of understanding – or even distrust – of such a process is often identified as a key reason PMD systems fail within organisations.  This workshop provides a solution.

Target Participant Group

For employees who participate in the organisation’s PMD program.  Typically this may be all non- managing staff when a new program is introduced or groups of new employees as part of their induction process.

Participants: 8 – 12

Team Roles Workshop

Overview

This workshop provides individual teams with practical approaches to understanding different team roles, so leaders can make the most effective use of their teams. It allows team members to understand each other’s preferred way of working and how this can contribute positively to achieving the goals of the team. The analysis tool Horizon use for this workshop is the Belbin Team Roles model.

Target Participant Group

Managers of teams and their team members – within a function, business unit or project team – and for people at all levels of an organisation. Anyone who leads or contributes to a team would benefit from this workshop. It is most powerful when a whole team attends the workshop together and particularly when the senior leadership team of an organisation are the first to participate.

Participants: 6 – 9

Job Evaluation Workshop

Overview

This workshop enables an organisation to use a well tested process for establishing the relative worth of jobs within their business without the expense of implementing a proprietary job evaluation process.  The outputs from the JE workshop can then be integrated into the organisation’s salary system.

Target Participant Group

For middle and senior managers within an organisation – or business unit – who have responsibility for managing the attraction, retention and development of staff and who are able to make informed judgements on nominated key job criteria. Whilst not a pre-requisite, businesses who have already implemented the workshop on “Writing JDs” will have a good grounding in the process and available data for “Job Evaluation”.

Participants: 8 – 12
