Identifying Development Needs is a logical and consistent process that links many of these modules and identifies what training and development is required, short and long term, to achieve the business results required. Many organisations handle this in a reactive way–a brochure for a training course arrives and someone decides it looks like a great course–a very expensive way to develop people! And not necessarily very effective.
